Removing
1. Disconnect pressure (white marking) (1) and reverse (blue marking) (2) fuel filter hoses.
2. Extract fuel with a manual vacuum pump (3).
3. Remove the air filter housing with air mass meter and connecting tube.
4. Loosen the screw (arrow A) and remove the air filter housing from the mounting upwards.
5. Disconnect the vacuum line (1) double pump brake booster (4).
6. Disconnect pressure (2) (white marking) and reverse (3) (blue marking) twin pump hoses (4).
7. Unscrew the fastening screws (arrows). Separate the twin pump (4) from the cylinder head.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, observing the following instructions.
Attention!
- Check that the dual pump drive element is correctly positioned in the camshaft.
- Replace the dual pump seal.
- Install tandem pump and tighten upper mounting bolts to 20 Nm.
- Tighten the lower mounting bolts to 10 Nm.
- Carry out a tightness test.
- Connect fuel return hose (blue marking) to the return pipe (3) double pump.
- Connect the fuel pressure hose (white marking) to the pressure pipe (2), connect the vacuum hose (1) brake booster to fuel pump (4).
- Connect pressure hose (white marking) to the fuel filter.
- Connect hand vacuum pump with accessories with liquid collection container to the return hose (1).
- Connect return hose (blue marking) to the fuel filter.
