- Check the air cleaner housing, filter element and intake hoses for dirt.
- Check the entire charge air assembly and charge air cooler for foreign objects.
If they are found, clean the entire path of the charge air supply, if necessary, replace the cooler.
Removing
1. Remove the soundproof casing of the engine.

2. Remove the exhaust pipe with particulate filter.
Continuation for all cars
3. Unscrew the fastening of the oil supply line (arrow) on the turbocharger.
4. Disconnect the air duct from the air filter and from the turbocharger.
5. Unscrew (in the presence of) mounts (A) pipelines of the auxiliary heater cooling system.
6. Unscrew the bolts (arrows) and remove the connecting pipe of the exhaust gas recirculation system.
7. Unscrew the exhaust gas temperature sensor (G235) (arrows) from the hole in the turbocharger.
8. Remove the bolts (1), fastening the support flange to the turbocharger, and the bolt (2).
9. Unscrew the hollow bolt (3) and remove the turbocharger support containing the oil drain pipe.
10. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum chamber of the turbocharger.
11. Unscrew the fastening of the heat shield above the exhaust manifold (arrow).
Attention! In order for the exhaust manifold to be removed through the tunnel in the underbody area, the heat shield must be removed (1).
12. Unscrew the plate nut (2) from a hairpin (3).
13. Unscrew the screws securing the exhaust manifold (arrows).
14. Rotate the turbocharger with the exhaust manifold so that the latter can be removed downwards through the tunnel in the underbody.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
