Removal and installation of poly V-belt

The drawing of parts and assemblies of the timing drive is given in the chapter «1. Maintenance» in the description of replacing the timing belt for the respective engines (see fig. VC1.064).

For vehicles with air conditioning compressor

Removing

1. Remove the acoustic cover.

2. Mark the running direction of the V-ribbed belt.

3. To loosen the V-ribbed belt, turn the tensioner using a wrench in the direction of the arrow.



4, Fix the tensioning element with the locking pin.

5. Remove poly V-belt.

Installation

Install the V-ribbed belt first on the crankshaft pulley.

Lastly, pull the belt over the tension roller.

Further installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Attention!

• Before installing the V-ribbed belt, make sure that all units (generator, air conditioner compressor) securely fastened.
• Before installing the V-ribbed belt, make sure that the direction of travel and the position of the belt in the pulleys are correct.

After completing the work, be sure to start the engine and make sure that the belt is correctly installed.
