Removal and installation of the pump of a cooling liquid

Removing

1. Drain the coolant.

2. Remove poly V-belt.

3. Remove the shield (2).

4. Remove tensioner (1) poly V-belt.

5. Remove the top part of the timing case.

6. Loosen the fastening nut of the toothed belt tension roller and remove the toothed belt from the camshaft pulley.



7. Remove the middle part of the toothed belt cover (arrows).

Attention!

• The poly-V-belt pulley and the toothed belt lower guard need not be removed.
• Do not remove the toothed belt from the crankshaft pulley.
• Before removing the coolant pump, cover the belt with a clean cloth to prevent coolant from getting on it.

8. Unscrew the mounting bolts (1) coolant pump and remove the pump (2).

9. Remove O-ring (3).

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Tightening torques:

• Coolant pump to cylinder block: 15 Nm.
• Center section of toothed belt guard to cylinder block: 10 Nm*.
• Poly V-belt tensioner to accessory bracket: 23 Nm.
