Checking procedure

Insert the new valve into the guide sleeve. The end of the valve stem must be closed with a guide sleeve. The intake and exhaust valve stems have different diameters, so the intake valves must be inserted into the 8 intake valve guides and the exhaust valves must be inserted into the exhaust valve guides.

Determine the clearance in the guide bushings when rocking the valves.

Maximum permissible value: 0.8 mm.

If the clearance exceeds this value, the cylinder head must be replaced.
