- turn the steering wheel in both directions until it stops and briefly hold the front wheels in the extreme position. Thus, the maximum pressure will be created in the hydraulic system, which will make it possible to detect the place of fluid leakage;
- check steering gear area (butterfly valve), rubber cuffs on the gear rack, the ends of the gear rack (gear rack o-rings), power steering pump and hose connections. Fluid escaping at these points indicates a leak.
