The pressure value in cold tires, under normal load, is as follows:
- for tires size 195/65 R15T:
- front - 260 kPa
- rear - 240 kPa
- for tire size 215/60 R15H:
- front - 230 kPa
- rear - 210 kPa
Tire pressure should be checked regularly - every month. If the tire pressure drops by 1.5% per month, then this is normal, with a larger value, it is necessary to establish the cause. It is possible that air is leaking through the valve spool. If the air pressure in the tire constantly drops with a good spool, then use a special sealant to repair the tire. Tire mounting requires special skill and knowledge to avoid damage to the tire bead (tire leaks). Therefore, tire mounting is recommended to be carried out at service stations that have the necessary equipment for this purpose. After mounting the tires, balance the wheels.

Recommended tool and accessories: 1 - oiler; 2 - hydraulic jack; 3 - electric portable lamp; 4 - dummy supports; 5 - torque wrench; 6 - a small hacksaw; 7 - wire brush; 8 - control lamp (12 V); 9 - tire profile depth gauge; 10 - pressure gauge for measuring tire pressure; 11 - set of measuring probes
Pic. 11. Checking the depth of the tire profile
After a certain mileage, the remaining depth of the tire profile should be checked. Tire manufacturers have made a small special tool for this 9 (pic. 6) - a tire profile depth gauge, which is installed on the tire, as shown in fig. 11. Based on his testimony, you can find out the residual height of the tread pattern, which, according to the Rules of the Road, should not be less than 1.6 mm.
