The car is equipped with a diesel engine with direct fuel injection and turbocharging. The direct fuel injection system is a joint development of Bosch, Audi and Volkswagen. A feature of this system is the use of electronically controlled nozzles that fire twice in one stroke. First, a small amount of fuel is injected into the cylinder (precharge). After the combustion of the precharge, the main portion of the fuel is injected. Thanks to this, the combustion process is softened, the toxicity of exhaust gases and the noise level are reduced.
If problems are found in any sensor or system component, they will be recorded by the fault recorder, which will later accurately establish these faults in the service station using special diagnostic equipment.
