If the flange has been unscrewed, then the sealing ring located on the inside of the flange should be replaced. To knock out the old o-ring, place the flange on a vise (pic. 434) Press in a new sealing ring.
To install the O-ring, install the shaft first, and then press in the O-ring as described for the crankshaft front oil seal. Bolts during assembly should be tightened with a torque of 25 Nm.
Install the gear on the intermediate shaft so that the wedge enters the keyway. This will ensure that the gear wheel is in the correct position.
Insert the bolt and washer and tighten the bolt while holding the cogwheel stationary (to do this, insert the mandrel into the hole on the gear wheel and rest the mandrel against the surface of the cylinder block) torque 45 Nm.
The remaining operations are carried out in the reverse order of the removal process.
