Connecting rod clearance measurement

This operation is described in detail in section 3.6.2. The measurement is carried out in exactly the same way as determining the clearance in the main bearings using a plastic wire «Plastigage». If not, then you need to measure the inner diameter of the bearings with nested shells and the diameter of the connecting rod journal of the crankshaft.
