The ignition distributor of the 2.0-liter engine ensures that the ignition system supplies electrical current to the spark plugs in the correct sequence (1–3–4–2) and at the right time (ignition timing).
The ignition distributor is installed in the cylinder block and is driven by the intermediate shaft of the engine. In the upper part of the ignition distributor, the electrical energy is distributed to the spark plugs, and in the lower part there is a Hall sensor, which gives a signal for sparking.
