Warning! Brake fluid is highly toxic, flammable, hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air) and destroy paintwork. You can neutralize its effect with a large amount of cold water.
This reservoir is divided into two parts: one for the brake system and the other for the clutch release drive. These systems operate independently of each other.
The hydraulic clutch release drive consists of a pedal, a master cylinder, a pipeline, a hose and a working cylinder. The clutch is disengaged by the slave cylinder, which acts directly on the release bearing, unlike other models of car companies «Volkswagen» and «Ford», where the slave cylinder drives the release bearing through the lever (fork).
Pic. 231. The position of the working cylinder and release bearing on the inside of the clutch housing
The slave cylinder with the clutch release bearing is located inside the clutch housing (pic. 231) on the gearbox input shaft. A corrugated dust cover protects the slave cylinder and release bearing from dirt.

Parts of the hydraulic clutch: 1 - tank; 2 - supply hose; 3 - pedal block; 4 - clutch pedal; 5 - safety holder; 6 - pusher rod; 7 - bolt, 20 Nm; 8 - main cylinder; 9 - locking collar; 10 - gasket, always a replacement; 11 - O-ring; 12 - hose / pipeline; 13 - bracket; 14 - bolt, 25 Nm; 15 - bracket on the gearbox; 16 - nut, 20 Nm; 17 - bolt, 20 Nm; 18 - locking clamp; 19 - dust cap; 20 - gearbox; 21 - stuffing box; 22 - O-ring, always replaceable; 23 - working cylinder with release bearing; 24 - bolt with shoulder, 11 Nm; 25 - corrugated cover; 26 - dust cap; 27 - a bolt for removal of air; 28 - union nut, 20 Nm; 29 - pipeline
Master cylinder 8 (pic. 232) clutch with a tank 1 for brake fluid is located next to the axis of the clutch pedal 4, on the left side, and is connected to the pedal by a rod 6 of the pusher. When you press the clutch pedal, the pusher pushes the piston connected to it into the master cylinder. Due to this, pressure is created inside the master cylinder, which is transmitted through the hose to the slave cylinder 23 of the clutch.
