- remove the corrugated dust cover 25 (pic. 232);
- unscrew the fastening bolts 24 and remove the working cylinder together with the release bearing;
- remove the O-ring 22 of the working cylinder. Always replace this ring with a new one;
Pic. 233. Removing the sealing ring from the rear side of the working cylinder
- replace the sealing ring 21 if it has traces of leaking fluid. It is located on the back of the clutch slave cylinder and can be removed using tool 618 (pic. 233). When installing a new o-ring 21, compress it with tool 618 until it fits snugly under the outer surface of the clutch slave cylinder housing.
Installation of the clutch slave cylinder is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following:
- before installing, wipe the release bearing with a rag, but do not wash it in gasoline;
- tighten the three bolts of the clutch slave cylinder and tighten them to a torque of 11 Nm;
- after installing the gearbox, check the operation of the clutch. At the same time, pay attention first of all to the appearance of a scratching sound when switching gears. It is best heard when reverse gear is engaged. Its cause may be an unadjusted clutch release drive;
- adjust the clutch release actuator if necessary and test drive the vehicle with all gearshift options.
