Pic. 238. Bleeding the hydraulic clutch (the arrow shows the place of putting on the rubber hose on the valve): 1 - hose; 2 - open-end wrench for unscrewing the bleed valve
Removal of air from the hydraulic clutch is carried out similarly to the removal of air from the brake system. The bleed valve is located near the junction of the engine with the gearbox (pic. 238 arrow).
The hydraulic clutch must always be bled when the hydraulic lines have been disconnected or when air has otherwise entered the hydraulic system. A sign of the presence of air in the hydraulic system is the delayed return of the depressed clutch pedal or its failure to return at all.
