- external constant velocity joint (SHRUS) the same for both drive shafts. If damaged, replace it completely;
- always replace the shaft mounting bolt in the wheel hub;
- the left and right inboard CV joints are not the same, and on a car with an automatic transmission, the inboard joint has a different design (the so-called three-pin joint) and is not suitable for installation on a car with a manual transmission;
- lubricate the hinges with special grease;
- the differences between drive shafts and joints are shown in fig. 258.
