Removal and installation of glass of a back door

Removing

The glass seal has been removed. The cover has been removed. Remove rear door trim. Remove plugs -5-. Lower door window until expansion pin -4- and spacer insert -3- are opposite cut-out for power window regulator.

Instruction: If this is not possible due to a defective power window -5-. it is possible to unscrew the fixing screws, remove the power window motor -8- and then lower the window.

Screw in a screw with a diameter of 5 mm (about 70mm long) into the spacer pin -4- and remove the screw from the spacer insert -2-. Screw in a screw with a diameter of 8 mm (about 80mm long) into spacer insert -3-.

Instructions: When screwing the screw into the spacer insert, do not press it with great force, otherwise it may fall inside the door.

Pull insert -3- out of window guide -2- and thus out of door glass. Pull glass outwards -1- at an upward angle -arrow- out of seal and crossbar -2-.

Installation

Instructions: For better clarity, the figure does not show the carrier panel. When installing the door glass, the spacer insert and the spacer pin must always be replaced. Before installing spacer insert -2- and spacer pin -1- check glass -3- for damage.

Align spacer insert -2- and insert with window -3- removed. Firmly press expansion pin -1- into insert -2-. Insert glass -3- into the door and guide it into the groove of the window guide -4-. Press the window -3- into the power window -4- by pressing lightly from above -arrow-. Then follow the steps for dismantling in reverse order. Before installing the upholstery, check the operation of the door mechanisms.
