Removal and installation of the lock of a door of a luggage compartment

Removing

Remove tailgate trim. Release screws -3- and remove tailgate lock -1-. Unplug connector -2- on back of lock. If there is a malfunction in the electrical circuit of the lock, the tailgate can be opened in emergency mode. Emergency opening is made through a hole in the upholstery of the tailgate.

Installation

Connect connector -2- on the back of the lock. Install lock -1- on tailgate and tighten bolts -3- to 22 Nm.
