The panoramic sunroof can only be operated when the ignition is on. After the ignition is turned off, the sunroof can be operated until the front left or front right door is opened. With the help of the regulator -1- the opening of the front section is changed. Installing the section in the so-called comfort position -4- prevents the increase in wind noise, which increases when the sunroof is fully opened. By swinging the control, you can raise and lower the sunroof section. Buttons for opening -2- and closing the sunblind -3- are built into the controller -1-.
The panoramic sunroof mechanism has a closing force limiter. If during the closing of the hatch on its way there is any obstacle, it will automatically open again. In addition, the hatch is equipped with an emergency closing function. In case of problems with closing the sunroof, it can be closed in emergency mode by pressing the rear part of the regulator -arrow-. The rotary ring of the regulator must be in the position "hatch closed", During emergency closing, the closing force limiter does not work.
The sunroof drive motor is equipped with an overheating protection, the operation of which depends on various factors. After a pause for cooling down, the engine is ready for operation again. In the event of a power failure, the sunroof front section and shade can be moved manually.
Panoramic sunroof initialization
Instruction: After replacing the glass section, motor, parts of the sunroof or sunshade mechanism, it is necessary to carry out initialization for the corresponding drive. During initialization, the closing force limiter is not active.
Sunroof motor initialization
The ignition is on. The rotary ring of the regulator must be in position - "hatch closed". Move the knob -1- downwards -arrow- and hold it in this position during the entire initialization process (about 20 s). During initialization, the glass section is first closed and then moved back by approx. 200 mm. After the sunroof closes again, the knob can be released - initialization is complete.
