Removal and installation of the center console with armrest

Switch off the ignition. Remove button for electromechanical parking brake -E538-. If present, remove CD changer. Remove if available "connector for connecting multimedia devices". If present, remove the DVD player.

Cars with a multimedia system

Remove the multimedia system control panel.

Vehicles with inverter with socket, 12 V-230 V -U13-

Remove inverter with socket, 12 V-230 V -U13-. Remove the rear panel of the center console. Remove the center console cover. Remove trim on both sides in footwell. Remove two screws -1- (1.5 Nm). Remove screw -2- (1.5 Nm). Move the seats as far forward and up as possible.



Unclip plug -1- from trim using a small screwdriver. Remove screw -2- (6 Nm). Remove plug -3- and unscrew screw -4-. Remove the plugs and unscrew the screws on the opposite side.



Remove two screws -1- (1.5 Nm).



If present, unfasten wiring harness retainer -1- -arrow-.



Raise the rear of the center console.
