Acustic systems

Instructions: The sound system supplied with the PCD 300 radio includes 3-way acoustics: each front door has one low-frequency, one mid-range and one high-frequency loudspeaker. On request, the system can be supplemented with rear-mounted 2-way acoustics: one low-frequency and one high-frequency speaker in each rear door. With the RNS 510 radio navigation system, both front and rear loudspeakers are always installed. With the RCD 500, both front and rear speakers are always installed. All speakers are passive (do not have built-in amplifiers). Removal and installation on the right and left sides are carried out in the same way.

Removing and installing front woofers

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. When replacing the speaker, the door trim must first be removed. Unlock connector -arrows- and disconnect.



Using a suitable drill, drill out rivets -arrows- and remove loudspeaker.

Instructions: Be sure to remove all sawdust from the door, because. otherwise they will lead to corrosion. If the paint layer was damaged during drilling, this damage must be repaired immediately.

Installation

The new speaker should be fixed with special hidden rivets (install rivets only with the correct part number). Further installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Removing and installing rear subwoofers

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. To replace the speaker, you must first remove the door trim. Unlock connector -arrows- and disconnect. Using a suitable drill, drill out rivets -arrows- and remove loudspeaker.

Installation

The new speaker should be fixed with special hidden rivets (install rivets only with the correct part number). Further installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Removing and installing front midrange speakers

Instructions: The midrange speaker is attached to the rear of the door trim.

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. When replacing the speaker, the door trim must first be removed. Unlock connector -arrows- and disconnect. Unscrew the screws from the speaker and remove it.

Removing and installing front tweeters

The tweeters are installed in the front doors, in the triangular trim of the mirror base. Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. When replacing the speaker, the door trim must first be removed. Disconnect the connector -arrows- from the wiring harness to the loudspeaker.



Remove screw -arrow-. Detach the trim along with the speaker.



If the clip -arrow- remains on the trim, pull it off and insert it into the appropriate slot in the door.



Otherwise, the mirror base triangular trim cannot be properly installed. The speaker is replaced only assembled with a triangular lining of the base of the mirror.
