Turn signal lamp in the side mirror for easy entry and illumination

Turn signal repeater lamps in the exterior mirror (side turn indicators) built into the exterior mirror housing. In addition, the side mirror housing, right and left, contains a landing light that illuminates the area around the open driver's door and the right front door.



1 - Turn signal lamp in driver's side mirror -L131- or turn signal lamp in front passenger's side mirror -L132-

2 - Side mirror entry light, driver's side -W52- or side mirror entry light, front passenger's side -W53-

Fault recognition and error indication

The onboard power supply management system is equipped with a self-diagnostic function that makes it easier to find errors. For troubleshooting, use the tester -VAS 5051 A- in the "Guided Fault Finding".

Removal and installation of a lamp of the repeater of the index of turn in an external mirror

The turn signal lamp in the side mirror on the driver's side -L131- or the turn signal lamp in the side mirror on the front passenger's side -L132- is installed in the lower section of the left or right exterior mirror housing. Replacement of LED material is not possible.

Instruction: If damaged, replace the turn signal lamp in the side mirror together with the lower part of the exterior mirror housing.

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. Remove the lower part of the exterior mirror.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Instructions: After installation, check the functioning of the side mirrors.

Removal and installation of a plafond of illumination of a threshold in a lateral mirror

Side mirror entry light for driver's side -W52- or side mirror light for front passenger's side entry aid -W53- is installed in the lower part of the left or right exterior mirror housing. Replacing an incandescent lamp for threshold lighting is described below.

Instructions: If the lens is damaged, replace the door sill light in the side mirror together with the lower part of the exterior rearview mirror housing. Replacing the lamps in the right and left side mirrors is carried out in the same way, so the description is given for one side only.

Lamp replacement

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. Remove the lower part of the exterior mirror. Unlock socket -1- in -direction of arrow- and remove with bulb.



Remove base bulb -1- in -direction of arrow- from socket -2-. Base lamp: 12 V, 5 W.




Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
