The wiper motor control unit -J400- and the wiper motor -V- are designed as one unit. When replacing the wiper motor control unit -J400-, the code must first be read and coded into the new wiper motor control unit -J400-. To remove the wiper blades, the wiper arms must be brought into "service/winter position". "Service/winter position" activated within 10 seconds after the ignition is switched off by moving the wiper lever to the position "Pulse mode".
Fault recognition and error indication
The onboard supply control unit -J519- is equipped with a self-diagnosis system that facilitates troubleshooting. For troubleshooting, use the tester -VAS 5051 A- in the "Guided Fault Finding".

- 4 - Bolts for fastening the wiper frame with rods to the body, 8 Nm
- 5 - Wiper frame with rods

- 7 - Rubber lug in the front wall, follow installation instructions
