Fault recognition and error indication
The anti-theft alarm is equipped with a self-diagnostic function that makes it easier to find errors. For troubleshooting, use the tester -VAS 5051A- in the "Guided Fault Finding".
The following interrogations and adaptations can be carried out on the anti-theft alarm:
- Anti-theft alarm memory poll
- Polling the alarm memory
- Adapting the alarm delay when the driver's door is opened
- Adapting the sensitivity of the passenger compartment monitor sensor
- Roll sensor sensitivity adaptation
- Customization of intelligent alarm setting for a specific country
- Reverse control - anti-theft system enabled
Activation of the anti-theft system
The anti-theft alarm is activated automatically when the vehicle is locked. After that, the alarm is in working mode.
Instructions: To prevent the anti-theft alarm from erroneously, before turning on the central lock, completely close all doors and windows.
Deactivation of the anti-theft alarm
The anti-theft alarm is deactivated by pressing the unlock button on the remote control, as well as by turning on the ignition with an authorized car key.
Mechanical unlocking of car doors (emergency unlocking)
Open driver's door. The anti-theft alarm remains activated, and immediately after the driver's door is opened, an alarm is triggered. Switch on the ignition to interrupt the alarm.
Instruction: When the ignition is turned on, the electronic immobilizer recognizes a valid ignition key and deactivates the anti-theft alarm.
Removal and installation of the sensor of system of protection of salon and the gauge of level of the car
The interior monitor sender -G273- and the vehicle level sender -G384- are installed together in one housing in the headlining on the driver's side.
Instruction: To remove the interior monitor sensor and vehicle level sensor, the anti-theft system must be deactivated.
Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. Remove the safety handle next to the interior monitoring sensor. Gently pull the headlining slightly out of the door seal to access the rear side of the sensor housing.
Unlock catch -arrow- with a suitable screwdriver and pull sensor housing downwards out of ceiling panel.
Unlock and unplug electrical connector -arrow- and remove housing -1- with interior monitor and vehicle tilt sensor.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Aerial for central locking and anti-theft alarm -R47-
The central locking and anti-theft alarm aerial -R47- is routed from the convenience system central control unit -J393- to the A-pillar (on the driver's side) in the main wiring harness.
Note: It is not possible to repair the antenna as the reception quality may be affected. If damaged, the aerial for central locking and anti-theft alarm -R47- must be replaced.
Anti-theft alarm horn -H12-
The alarm horn -H12- is located on the right under the plenum box trim.
Removing and installing burglar alarm siren -H12-
Instructions: To remove the alarm horn -H12-, the anti-theft alarm must be deactivated.
Remove the plenum box cover. Unscrew the fixing nut -arrow- and remove the siren, taking into account the lengths of the connected wires, from the holder.
Disconnect and release electrical connector -arrow- and remove siren -1- from vehicle.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Tighten the fixing nut to the specified tightening torque (20 Nm).
