Checking the engine oil level

Note: Under adverse operating conditions, fuel may enter the oil, so its level may be in the area -d-. This is normal and should not be drained. after a while the level will return to normal.

• 1 - Label min (min.)
• 2 - Label max (Max.)
• a - Oil level below min: top up oil!
• b - Oil level between the marks: oil can be topped up!
• c - The oil level is above the max mark: do not add oil!
• d - Under certain conditions, the oil level may also be in this area.

Lubrication system (SVAA, SVAV, SVVA, SVVV)

Caution: If a large amount of metal chips and other wear products are found in the engine oil during engine repair, this may indicate damage to the connecting rod or main bearings of the crankshaft. To avoid subsequent damage, after carrying out repair work, it is necessary to: thoroughly clean the oil channels, replace the oil cooler, replace the oil filter.
