Engine installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order. In doing so, the following instructions must be observed. For vehicles with manual gearbox: Check release bearing for wear, replace if necessary. Apply a thin layer of grease G 000 100 to the splines of the primary hall. Check for the presence of centering bushings that determine the relative position of the engine and gearbox. If bushings are missing, they must be installed in the cylinder block. Align the motor mount with movements that cause shaking, without mechanical stress and adjust in sequence. Electrical connections and wiring harnesses. Install drive shafts.

On vehicles with all-wheel drive

Install driveshaft. Install the rear of the exhaust system.

Install particulate filter. Install the subframe.

With manual transmission

Install the hydraulic line of the hydraulic coupling. Install the gearshift mechanism, if necessary, adjust the shift cable drive.

With automatic transmission

Install the selector cable on the gearbox and adjust if necessary. Check ATF level and top up if necessary.

With dual clutch gearbox

Install the selector lever cable and adjust if necessary.

All

Fill with coolant. Fill the air conditioner circuit. Install the battery and battery mounting pad. Install sound absorbing tray. Carry out a test drive and interrogate the fault memory.
