WARNING: The fuel pressure line is under pressure! Wear safety goggles and gloves to avoid injury and getting fuel on your feet. Before disconnecting the elements of the fuel system, the connection point must be wrapped with rags. Then, carefully loosen the connection to release the pressure. For safety reasons, the power supply to the fuel pump must be interrupted before opening the fuel system. Otherwise, the fuel pump may be activated when the driver's door is opened. Use one of the following options to interrupt the power supply. Disconnect battery or remove fuse for fuel pump control unit -J538- or disconnect connector at flange of fuel supply unit or at fuel pump control unit -J538-.
ATTENTION: When performing installation work, especially in the engine compartment due to its dense layout, the following rules must be observed. Pipelines of all kinds (fuel, hydraulic, absorber, coolant, coolant, brake fluid, vacuum) and electrical wires must be laid as they were originally laid. To avoid damage to hoses, pipes or wires, sufficient space must be provided when working on all moving or hot parts.
WARNING: To avoid personal injury and/or damage to the injection and ignition system, the following must be observed. Do not touch or disconnect the ignition coils with output stages while the engine is running and at starting speed. Disconnection and connection of the wires of the injection and ignition system, as well as wires of measuring instruments, can only be carried out with the ignition off.
