The engine code and engine number can be found on a sticker -arrow- affixed to the timing cover.



4-character engine codes are used that begin with a letter "WITH". The first 3 characters describe the design of the mechanical part of the engine and, as before, are stamped on the engine. The fourth digit describes the power and torque of the engine and depends on the engine control unit -J623-. The four-digit engine code is found on the nameplate, on the vehicle data sticker and on the engine control unit. Vehicles for some countries do not have a manufacturer's plate.
