Adding oil to the Haldex coupling

The vehicle is in a horizontal position. Add oil for Haldex couplings. Raise the car. Substitute a container for used oil. Position pallet -VAS 6208- under final drive. Unscrew oil filler plug -arrow-. (For clarity, the main gear is not shown in the figure).



Screw in adapter -A- as far as it will go. Lock elbow -B- with adapter -A-. Using filler for Haldex coupling 2 -VAS 6291-, pour in enough oil so that it flows out between adapter of this tool and gearbox housing. Remove the drinker and adapter; due to circumstances, a little excess oil may leak out. The oil level is correct when the oil reaches the lower edge of the oil fill hole of the Haldex coupling.



Screw in and tighten bolt -arrow-. Tightening torque 15 Nm. Finally, check the oil level in the Haldex coupling.
