Start the engine.
Turn the steering wheel in both directions as far as it will go and lock briefly. As a result, the maximum pressure is created in the system (only at idle).
In this position, it is necessary to check the parts listed below for leaks.
O-ring gear on the valve body of the steering gear.
All piping connections.
Gear rack seals.
This check is carried out only with the anthers moved back.
Open the boot collar.
Slide the boot back. If oil is visible in the steering gear housing and/or dust boots, the steering gear must be replaced.
