Removing and installing vane pump, 5-cyl. diesel engine

NOTE: Replace o-rings. Do not reuse the drained oil.

Removing

Remove the engine noise shield.

Remove the charge air cooler connecting hose.

Remove the left fender.

Unscrew the clamp nut of the air conditioning pipe near the charge air cooler 1 (pic. 5.22).



Remove the air filter housing.

Remove noise insulation 1 from the engine (pic. 5.23).



Install holder T10109 on the engine (pic. 5.24).




Remove the A/C compressor and set aside.
Clamp suction hose 1 with hose clamp 3094 (rice. 5.17).

Unscrew hollow bolt 2.

Seal the pressure pipe with polyethylene or similar.

Open the spring clip and remove the suction hose 1 from the vane pump.

Remove damper from engine bracket (pic. 5.25).



Install support console for 10-222A motor with adapters 10-222A/3.10-222A/8 and 10-222A/19 (pic. 5.26).



Install adapters 10-222 A/19 on the side members.


Be careful not to damage the A/C pipe 1 when installing the adapter.

Rotate the adapters until they take the load from the machine and the left motor mount is unloaded (pic. 5.27).



Adapters 10-222 A/8 serve only to prevent tipping.

Disconnect the connector under the engine bracket.

Loosen the motor bracket bolts and remove the bracket (pic. 5.28).



Unscrew the bolts and remove the vane pump 1 from the cylinder block (pic. 5.29).

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, paying attention to the following.


Fill the vane pump with hydraulic oil. Pour oil through the suction port of the vane pump.

Turn the hub by hand until oil comes out on the pressure side.

Install impeller pump. Bleed the steering system.

Check the hydraulic fluid level in the hydraulic system.

Check the steering system for leaks.

Tightening torques

Vane pump to cylinder block - 40 Nm + 90°.

Hollow bolt to vane pump - 35 Nm.

Engine bracket to cylinder block - 55 Nm.

Damper to engine bracket/support - 75 Nm.
