As with any other high-tech product, it also requires careful handling, care and maintenance. Only in this way can it be guaranteed that safety, service life and driving comfort will be ensured throughout the entire service life of the tyre.
Tires are highly dependent on a constantly evolving process. Due to modern designs, production technologies and constant quality control, high-quality tires are produced. All tires approved by VW were checked by the technical development department and, in cooperation with the tire manufacturers, calculated for the respective vehicle type.
We therefore recommend that you always fit approved and recommended tire products when changing tires.
Vehicle safety is of the utmost importance. Taking into account various operating conditions, such as:
- various speed ranges;
- winter and summer operation;
- wet or dry pavement;
- an optimal compromise for traffic safety must be found.
During operation and over time, each tire is subjected to many different stresses. It is therefore important that the fundamental conditions for optimum tire performance are met.
Proper wheel alignment is one of the most important conditions to achieve optimum tire life. Therefore, the wheel alignment must always be within the prescribed tolerance range.
NOTE: Causes of tire damage and claims can vary. Therefore, it is very important to distinguish what caused the complaint of the tire or other parts.
NOTE: With normal tire wear, tire performance changes. Rolling noise and rough running may occur. These phenomena are not considered tire defects, but are associated with wear. They can be eliminated by targeted measures, at least partially. In certain cases, it will not be possible to eliminate motion noise by 100%.
