Removing
Remove the engine.
Remove the right turbocharger.
Open the buttons and remove the thermal insulation of the magnetic switch (pic. 7.40).
Unscrew the nut from the engine bracket (pic. 7.41).
Screw the transport eye T10126 1 with the M8x40 bolt 2 in the rear to the right cylinder head (pic. 7.42).
ATTENTION: When screwing the spike of the transport plate, it must fall into a special hole in the holder fixed to the engine.
Screw the transport eye T10126/ 1 1 with the M8x40 bolt 2 in front to the left cylinder head (pic. 7.43).
ATTENTION: When screwing the spike of the transport plate, it must fall into a special hole in the holder fixed to the engine.
Suspend hanger 3033 from the VAS 6100 crane.
Hang the transport eyes T10126 and T10126/1 on the lifting device 3033.
Raise the engine with the VAS 6100 crane.
Unscrew 4 fixing bolts M10x95 of the right engine mount and remove the right mount (pic. 7.44).
Unscrew the fixing bolt of the cooling system pipe on the engine block (pic. 7.45).
Unscrew the fixing bolt of the cooling system pipe on the gearbox (pic. 7.46).
Remove the protective cap from the starter solenoid switch (pic. 7.47).
Unscrew the fixing nut of the positive cable from the starter solenoid switch (pic. 7.48).
Unscrew the fixing nut of the cable terminal 50 from the starter solenoid switch (pic. 7.49).
Unscrew the fixing screw of the cable holder and set the cables aside (pic. 7.50).
Unscrew the bottom fixing bolt of the starter M 12x165 on the side of the engine (pic. 7.51).
Unscrew the upper mounting bolt of the starter M 12x165 on the side of the gearbox (pic. 7.52).
Remove the starter.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, paying attention to the following.
Tighten the connections to the prescribed torque (see table. 7.2).
