Keys 1 and 3 each have two fixed positions for opening and closing windows. This simplifies the process of opening and closing windows.
If the key is pressed or extended to the first position, the window opens and closes as long as the key is pressed or extended. If you briefly press or pull the key to the second position, the window opens or closes with automatic opening control (automatic lowering) or closing (lifting automation). If you act on the key while the window is opening or closing, the glass stops.
After switching off the ignition, the automatic control of closing and opening the windows is no longer active, even if the key has not yet been removed from the ignition.
If the battery has been disconnected and reconnected or has been discharged, automatic control is not effective and must be restored.
In the event of a power window malfunction, automatic control and overload protection are not fully operational.
Overload protection
Power windows are equipped with overload protection. This reduces the chance of injury when closing windows.
If the closing of the automatic window is prevented or the movement of the glass is difficult, the glass stops and then lowers.
Before trying to close the window again, take ten seconds to see why the window won't close. After ten seconds, the closing force of the window will automatically increase.
If again the window cannot be closed, the glass stops.
If more than ten or five seconds elapse, respectively, when the key is actuated, the window will open again completely, and the automatic control of closing the window will be operational again.
In the event of a power window malfunction, automatic control and overload protection are not fully operational.
Convenient opening and closing of windows from the outside
The windows can be opened and closed from outside the vehicle.
When opening and closing windows with a mechanical key, hold the mechanical key in the unlock or lock position until all windows open or close. Turning the key to the other side interrupts the process.
