Opening the tailgate and rear window
To unlock the rear door and rear window, press the radio key or pull this key in the driver's door (pic. 1.17). The back door will be unlocked.
To open the rear door, lift the rear door by the handle (pic. 1.18).
To open the rear window, grasp the bottom under the location of the wiper nozzle, press the B key and raise the rear window.
If the tailgate or rear window is open or not fully closed, this will be indicated on the instrument cluster display. If the tailgate is open, an additional warning signal sounds at speeds above 6 km/h.
WARNING: If, in an exceptional case, it is necessary to drive with the rear door or rear window open, follow the instructions below to reduce the entry of exhaust gases into the vehicle interior:
- open all windows;
- turn off the recirculation mode;
- turn the fan to the highest level.
Closing the tailgate
When closing the rear door, grasp the recess in the inner lining of the rear door.
If the tailgate is not fully closed, this will be indicated on the instrument panel. On vehicles with an electric tailgate, it will be sufficient to lightly press down on the tailgate. Then it will automatically close completely.
WARNING: An incompletely closed tailgate is a significant hazard.
ATTENTION: Make sure that the rear door is securely locked after closing. Otherwise, it may suddenly open during movement.
WARNING: Do not let children play in or around the vehicle. In a closed car, depending on the time of year, it can become either very hot or very cold, which can lead to a serious deterioration in the condition of children or even death. Close and lock all doors, including the back door, when you leave your vehicle.
