Connecting cables
Turn off the ignition on both vehicles.
In the engine compartment, flip aside the red cover of the positive pin in the direction of the arrow (pic. 1.151).
Connect the end of the red cable to the + pole of the vehicle with the dead battery.
Connect the other end of the red cable to the + pole of the donor vehicle.
Connect the end of the black cable to the negative pole of the donor car.
Connect the other end of the black cable to the negative post on the vehicle with the dead battery.
Position the wires so that they do not touch the rotating parts in the engine compartment.
Engine start
Start the engine of the donor vehicle and let it idle.
Start the car with the dead battery and wait a couple of minutes until the engine runs smoothly.
Disconnecting cables
Before disconnecting the cables, turn off the outside lights, if they are on.
On the vehicle with the dead battery, turn on the fan and the heated rear window to dampen the power surge when the cable is disconnected.
Disconnect both cables with the engines running in reverse order.
Close the red cover of the positive pin.
