Put the automatic transmission selector in position P or N.
Put the manual transmission lever in neutral position. Depress the clutch pedal to the stop and hold it in this position.
Hold the vehicle in place with the brake pedal.
Turn the ignition key to position 2 (pic. 1.109) to start the engine.
Release the ignition key when the engine has started - the starter should not rotate while the engine is running.
After starting a very hot engine, you need to press the gas pedal a little.
After starting a cold engine, it will work with increased noise for some time, since the oil pressure in the valve clearance hydraulic compensators is still not high enough. This is normal and should not worry you.
If it is not possible to start the engine immediately, after 10 seconds, stop the starting process and repeat it after half a minute. If the engine still does not start, check the fuel pump motor fuse.
