Pic. 3.128. Cardan shaft and front final drive: 1 - front final drive: 2 - gasket 3 - bolt, 30 Nm 90°; 4 - front propeller shaft; 5 - transfer box; 6 - hex nut; 7 - hinge disk; 8 - washer; 9 - bolt, 75 Nm; 10 - rear driveshaft; 11 - tighten the bolt with an internal sprocket to a torque of 30 Nm and tighten it by 90°; 12 - gasket; 13 - rear main gear; 14 - holder; 15 - bolt, 20 Nm; 16 - bolt, 60 Nm; 17 - bolt; 18 - hex nut, 75 Nm.
NOTE: Cardan shafts cannot be repaired. Do not bend the rear propeller shaft, store and transport only in a horizontal position. Remove the rear driveshaft in the mounting position upwards. Before dismantling, mark the position of all parts in relation to each other. Assembly is carried out in the same position, otherwise an imbalance occurs, which can cause damage to the supports and manifest itself in the form of increased noise.
NOTE: If the front driveshaft is disconnected only from the transfer case or only from the front final drive, or the rear driveshaft from the rear final drive, then the corresponding driveshaft must be tied or, under it, a support must be installed.
NOTE: When complaining of vibration, extraneous noise of the front or rear propeller shaft, before replacing the propeller shaft, the corresponding final drive shaft must be displaced by one mounting hole. These works can be carried out 5 times on the main gears and 2 times on the transfer case.
