Steering is facilitated by the use of power steering. The hydraulic power steering consists of an oil pump (vane pump), oil tank and oil injection lines. The oil pump is driven via a V-belt. The pump draws hydraulic oil from the reservoir and delivers it at high pressure to the valve body. The valve body is located in the steering gear. It is mechanically connected to the steering column and directs the oil, depending on the rotation of the steering wheel, to the corresponding side of the power cylinder. In it, oil presses on the rack and pinion piston and thereby maintains control. At the same time, the piston forces the oil on the other side of the cylinder through the return groove of the rotary valve and the return line back to the top-up reservoir.
