Drain
Fully open the heating control by setting it to "warm" ("warm").
Open the cap on the expansion tank.
(19-221) drain the coolant from the cooling pump 1, remove the middle hose 2 from the coca. When dismantling the radiator, drain the remaining liquid after removing the lower hose.
Refueling
It is essential to use only a mixture of G11 with water.
Attach cooler hoses and secure with clips.
Fully open the heating control.
(19-219) open the air valve on the radiator, see arrow.
(19-218) fill the cooling system through the expansion tank until it is full.
Start the engine and let it run at about 2000 rpm until the coolant comes out of the air valve without bubbles.
Close the air valve.
Completely fill the expansion tank and close it.
(19-216) fill the refill tank up to the mark "max".
After a test run, check all connections of the cooling system for leaks, tighten the clamps if necessary.
Note: (19-238) September 1981, some hose connections are fixed with band clamps A. The outer surface of the coolant hose B is smooth at the connection point (before that it was slightly wavy). Connecting nipple C has been lengthened and the thickening has been increased. Mounting of the band clamp is carried out using combined cutters, while paying attention to the fact that the ends of the clamps take the same position as before dismantling.
Attention! Band clamps are installed only with the appropriate hoses and fittings. New and old versions are not interchangeable.
