If the engine speed is less than 2000 rpm and at the same time the oil pressure drops below 0.3 bar, a warning signal on the instrument panel starts flashing. Above 2000 rpm, the oil pressure must be at least 1.8 bar, otherwise the warning signal flashes and the buzzer sounds.
If the warning signal flashes and the buzzer sounds while driving, the reasons may be:
- 1. oil level too low.
- 2. malfunctions in the electrical circuits of the switch and warning signal.
- 3. the oil pump does not pump.
- 4. Faulty cardan shaft bearing.
In this case, you must immediately turn off the engine and check the oil level, top up if necessary. Then start the engine at idle, if the engine makes too much noise, immediately turn off the engine and tow the car.
If there is no noise and the control lamp does not flash, increase the speed to more than 2000 rpm. If now the light does not flash and the buzzer is not heard, then the movement can be continued.
If the buzzer sounds and the warning light flashes, check the oil pressure regulator, see "Table of malfunctions of the oil circulation system". If, however, the oil level is correct and the oil pressure regulator and its electrical circuits are in good order, then under no circumstances continue driving, but tow the bus.
Note: Always replace seals. All parts of the cooling system can be dismantled and installed with the engine mounted.
