Dismantling
Disassemble the cylinder head see related section.
Dismantle the camshaft see related section.
Attention! If the valves are to be used in the future, then all parts of each valve distribution (valve, tappet, mounting washer, spring) must be used together.
Pull out the shims and pushers.
Attention! Mark tappets and washers as they must be installed in the same place.
(15-256) Pull out the valve springs. Workshops use special tools. You can also use two screwdrivers to press the valve head down to then pull out the valve key. Before doing this, put a rag in the combustion chamber so that the valves do not fall down.
(15-451) pull out the valve stem seal. This requires a special tool. The seal must be replaced every time.
Pull out the valve.
Installation
Before installing the psi we eat the awn to process the valve seats, see next section.
Check valve guides, see relevant section.
When installing, remove the burr from the valve stem at the points of application to the split conical valve bushing.
Attention! Observe instructions for valves with one or three grooves, see "valve drive".
Insert the valve head at the bottom.
Lightly grease the stem and insert the valve.
(15-072) put a plastic sleeve A on the rod (supplied with seal). Lightly lubricate the stem seal, carefully slide it onto the valve guide using a mandrel. Remove sleeve and mandrel.
Attention! If the assembly is carried out without the use of sleeves, the seals wear out and the engine consumes too much oil.
Put springs and valve head on top.
Press the springs down and insert the split conical cup.
Pay attention to the markings when installing the cup-shaped pusher. Pushers must be installed in their original place.
The head of the block must be complete with pushers, washers for adjusting the valve clearance and a camshaft, see Fig. "Dismantling and installation of the camshaft".
Renew the cylinder head gasket, install the head, refer to "Dismantling and installation of the cylinder head".
Attention! Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the correct sequence and to the prescribed torque, see "Dismantling and installation of the cylinder head".
Adjust valve clearance, see "Valve clearance adjustment".
