Removal and installation of the carburetor 2E4

Attention: On carburetor 2 E 4, additionally disconnect the wires of the speed stabilization device.

Removing

Disconnect ground wire from battery.

Remove air filter.

Move the throttle lever to the full throttle position by hand and disconnect the throttle cable. Remove the latch on the throttle cable mount and pull the throttle cable out of the mount.

Mark with adhesive tape and disconnect the electrical wires of the idle shutoff valve, the heater of the air circulation channel and the automatic engine start system.

Mark with adhesive tape, loosen the clamps and disconnect the fuel hoses.

Mark the vacuum hoses with adhesive tape and disconnect them from the carburetor.

Disconnect the coolant hoses from the automatic engine start system and close them with plugs or screws.

3. Unscrew the top nuts on the carburetor, remove the carburetor with the gasket.

Close the inlet with a clean cloth.

Installation

Clean the contact surfaces of the carburetor, install the carburetor with a new gasket, tighten the self-locking nuts with spring washers (7 nm).

Connect fuel hoses and secure with new clamps. Do not confuse the underwater and return hoses. The hose has a mesh that must be cleaned beforehand.

Connect the electrical wires to the idle shutoff valve, automatic engine start system, air circulation duct heater.

Insert the throttle cable into the mount and secure with a latch. Move the throttle lever to the full throttle position and connect the throttle cable.

Fasten the coolant hoses of the automatic engine start system to the carburetor with clamps.


Install the air filter.

Connect ground wire to battery.

Check idle speed.

Check coolant level.

If the injection pipe was removed during disassembly of the carburetor, it must be installed so that the spray cone points in the direction of the hole -arrow-.
