Removing and installing the float needle valve

The float needle valve controls the flow of fuel to the carburetor. When the float needle valve is stuck, fuel begins to flow into the carburetor.

Removing

Remove the air filter from the carburetor.

Mark and disconnect the fuel hoses from the top of the carburetor.

Disconnect the Pulldown vacuum hose from the coupler.

Disconnect the electrical wire from the automatic start system.

Loosen the carburetor cover screws. Remove the top from the carburetor.

Examination

The needle valve of the float should not let air through when blowing through the mouth from above, when lightly pressed with a finger from below, there is no play in the valve. The pin should move slightly.

Installation

Screw in the float needle valve with the correct size O-ring (see table "Carburetor basic data"). The ring should fit centrally under the float needle valve.

Position the top of the carburetor and tighten the screws evenly.

Connect the electrical wire to the automatic start system. '

Connect the Pulldown vacuum hose.

Connect the fuel hoses to the carburetor in accordance with the markings made and secure them with clamps. There is a white non-return valve in the fuel outlet hose.

Install air filter and secure with bracket.
