Removal and installation of an inlet pipe with a carburetor

Note: Secure all hoses with clamps so that the clamps can be removed without removing the engine. Replace gaskets.

Removing

Remove air filter.

Mark and disconnect the vacuum hoses from the carburetor.

Mark and disconnect the fuel hoses from the carburetor.

Mark and disconnect the electrical wires from the air circulation cut-off valve, the automatic engine start system and the intake pipe heater.

Disconnect the throttle cable from the carburetor, pull out the throttle cable latch, pull the throttle cable out of the mount.

Unscrew the water tube bracket, the tube cannot be removed.

Disconnect all vacuum hoses from intake pipe.

Loosen intake pipe fixing bolts, remove intake pipe.

Close the inlet of the inlet pipe with a clean cloth.

Installation

Install the intake pipe with new gaskets on the cylinder heads. Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm.

Connect all vacuum hoses to the intake pipe and tighten their clamps.

Unscrew the water tube bracket.

Insert the throttle cable into the mount and secure with a latch.

Adjust throttle cable.

Connect the electrical wires to the air circulation cut-off valve, the automatic engine start system and the intake pipe heater.


Connect the fuel hoses according to the markings and secure them with clamps.

Connect the vacuum hoses according to the markings and secure them with clamps.

Install the air filter.

Check and, if necessary, adjust the idle speed.
