Caution: On vehicles equipped with an electronic ignition system, various regulations must be followed to avoid injury or failure of the ignition system.
Note: Since September 1976, the exhaust gas control screws have been sealed in accordance with the requirements of the law. The location and number of adjusting screws depends on the type of carburetor. At the same time, the following are sealed: the CO content adjustment screw, the limiting screw for the basic idle adjustment and the limiting screw for the size of the throttle gap.
The sealing caps can be removed with pliers or a screwdriver. In doing so, they are destroyed. After adjustment, these screws must be sealed with blue caps (spare part).
If the requirements for the composition of the exhaust gases are not met, the General Permit to Operate shall be canceled. The absence of seals on the carburetor is fined during the police control of the car.
