Removal and installation of a protective tube of a pusher

As a spare part, a telescopic pusher protection tube is supplied, which can be installed without removing the engine.

Removing

Remove cylinder head cover. Remove the rocker shaft and pull out the push rod.

Remove warm air supply.

Remove the defective protective tube of the pusher with tweezers or a screwdriver.

Installation

Compress the pusher telescopic protective tube with new seals with tweezers and insert as shown in the figure.



Insert the push rod and install the rocker shaft.

Attention: Carefully insert the pusher rods into the ball bearings of the pushers. Control with your finger. Push rods mounted on the end of the push rod lead to erroneous adjustment results and damage to the push rods when the engine is cranked.

Perform basic adjustment of the hydraulic valve actuation.
