1. If the brake light does not come on, check the fuse in the fuse box first.
2. If the fuse is good, check the brake light bulbs and replace if necessary.
3. If the stop lamps are OK, check the stop lamp switch. It is located on the pedal block of the brake pedal. When you press the brake pedal, the push pin comes out of the switch. The contact closes and the brake light comes on.
4. Check stoplight switch. To do this, remove the guard above the pedal. Disconnect the plug from the switch.
5. Switch off the ignition.
6. Connect both pins of the plug with a jumper. If the brake light comes on, the switch is faulty.
7. Replace brake light switch.
