Replacing the rubber blades of the wipers

Rubber tabs are replaced if they leave streaks on the glass. In the distribution network, you can purchase both wipers with rubber petals installed, as well as individual rubber petals. When replacing the rubber tab, do not bend the wiper.

Removing

1. Raise the wiper arm and place the wiper horizontally.



2. Press on the spring clip (A) and move the wiper (IN) down by removing the lever from the hook.

3. Move the wiper up and remove from the lever.



4. Compress both steel rails on the closed side of the wiper with pliers and remove to the side from the upper clips. Remove the rubber tab together with the steel tires from the remaining wiper clips.

Installation

1. Loosely install a new rubber tab without steel tires in one wiper clip.


2. Insert both tires into the rubber tab so that the notches of the tires point to the rubber and the rubber noses fit into the grooves.



3. Press the rubber and both steel bars together with pliers and insert into the other clamp so that the jaws of the clamp on both sides fit into the grooves (arrow) rubber petal.

4. Insert the wiper into the lever and snap the spring clip into the hook of the lever.

5. Pull the lever back into place. Pay attention to the tightness of the rubber petal to the glass along the entire length.
