2. The hoses on the connections must fit securely.
3. Check tightness of clamps. If necessary, install new clamps in place of the old ones.
4. Check the cover gasket for damage.
Attention! A low coolant level can be caused by an improperly screwed cap.
5. If the coolant level drops frequently and no leak is found, check the cooling system with the engine warm. To do this, warm up the engine and leave it to idle until the fan turns on. See if coolant is leaking from the water pump.
6. A significant leak of coolant and/or oil in the coolant, as well as white puffs of exhaust gases when the engine is warm, indicates a defective head gasket.
Attention! Sometimes it is very difficult to find a leak. Then it is recommended to check the pressure on the service station (special device required). In this case, it is also necessary to check the overpressure valve on the reservoir cap. Required values for the opening pressure of the overpressure valve: on a petrol engine: 1.3 - 1.5 bar; diesel engines: 1.2–1.5 bar.
