It is recommended to replace all belts at once, even if only one is worn. Belt sizes are listed in the user manual. Too little V-belt tension leads to increased wear or failure of the V-belt.
If the tension is too high, the bearings of the respective units may fail.
1. The V-belt must be replaced in cases of: excessive wear, frayed sides, traces of oil, porosity, surface cracks.
2. Check the tension of the V-belt by pressing hard with your thumb in the middle between the two belt pulleys that have the greatest distance from each other.
3. The V-belt of the alternator, power steering pump should bend about 5 mm.
4. The A/C compressor V-belt should flex about 10mm.
5. V-belts, replace if necessary.
Attention! With a new belt, check the tension again after 10 minutes of operation.
